There’s no denying that high definition is all the rage these days. You see it almost everywhere you look as a selling point for new products. It’s also a selling point for
The most well-known high definition option also happens to be the most expensive. Yet, it seems to gather the most buzz. There really is nothing quite like the movie theater experience, in both a good and a bad way. It’s good because you can watch the latest releases on giant movie theater screen with a sound system to match. Unfortunately, you have to pay somewhat of a premium for that experience. It may not seem like a lot on the surface, but it really does add up fast. For starters, movie tickets have climbed up to around $10 per person, and that’s not taking into account the prices at the higher quality Imax theaters. If you’d like to munch on something during the showing, you could easily end up paying another $10 for popcorn, a soda, and a hotdog. Of course, this all assumes that you go by yourself. Most people go with their family or friends and may end up having to pay for them too. All in all, it’s kind of pricey for just 2 hours of
That’s why a lot of people opt to take the movie theater experience home. In order to take full advantage of your high definition television, though, you’d need to purchase a Bluray player and Bluray media. People who do this will end up saving money over the movie theater experience, but they will have to wait a while for the latest releases. They will also have to keep their collection up to date themselves, which can be both time consuming and troublesome.
You can get an even better deal by getting a gaming console that has a Blueray player included in it. Basically, you’d be getting a gaming console and a Bluray player for the price of one. This is a great deal for people who enjoy both video games and movies, but people that don’t fancy video games so much may be less than impressed.
Another option is to get a satellite TV subscription. Essentially, it provides the most bang for your buck because it offers a wide selection of programming and yet is cheaper than the other options that were mentioned. It not only offers dozens of movie channels, but it also features news programming, game shows, cartoons, talk shows, history documentaries, nature programming, foreign language programming, and a whole lot more. Amazingly, a lot of their content is broadcast to you in high definition as well, so you can make full use of your new TV. You won’t have to pay for an expensive and inconvenient movie theater seat nor will you have to maintain a Blueray collection. In the end, satellite service just makes the most sense.
