Air-India   Express  is a comparatively low-cost airline secondary of Air India founded in Mumbai the  financial  hub of India. It organizes its services chiefly to the Middle East and Southeast Asia. The airline is currently a division of the National Aviation Company of India Limited, which was previously created in order to make possible the faultless amalgamation of Air India and Indian Airlines.

History

This particular airline was founded in May 2004 and commenced its functions on 29 April 2005 with the initial flight taking off from Thiruvananthapuram to Abu Dhabi. In the month of February 2007, the Government of India accepted plans to join together Indian Airlines with Air India. In 2007, India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation made an announcement that Air India Limited (AI), India’s national flag carrier and Indian Airlines Limited (IA), the domestic airline possessed by the Government of India, would amalgamate with effect from July the 15, 2007. The fresh company shaped and fashioned by the joining together was to be known as “Air India”, and would function in both the National and international divisions.
