Bangalore is among the charming cities of India which is also referred as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’ because of the presence of several high-tech software and technologies based companies. Though it is the hub of information and technology yet it lures a great number of tourists round the year from several parts of the globe.

This is the capital city of Karnataka State which is located on the Deccan Plateau. It is one of the important travel destinations of southern India which is known for its parks and gardens, tree-lined avenues, imposing buildings and lively bazaars. This is the 5th largest city of India incomparable with any other cities in terms of industrial and commercial growth. Some of the well known attractions of this place are:

Lal Bagh Park:

It is a botanical garden which was founded by Hyder Ali in 1760. Spread over 240 acres, this park nurture more than 1000 species of flora and a Glass House. This garden is known for its wonderful concept of horticulture which helps plants to adapt in various climatic conditions. It is known for its construction of well-laid out roads, paths, open spaces, shades and Glass House. The best time to visit this park is during the annual flower show.

Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace:

It is among the best known destinations of the city which is located near K R Market. This palace was built in 1791 and is known for its two-storied wooden structure. Tipu Sultan named this summer retreat as ‘Rash-e-Jannat’ which means the abode of happiness and the envy of heaven. Exquisitely carved pillars, arches, balconies, frescoes, mural and paintings are the attractions of this palace.

Vidhana Soudha:

It is the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka which is among the most impressive as well as magnificent buildings of this place. It is the perfect fusion of Indo-Saracenic, Rajasthani Jharokha and Dravidian styles of architecture. This building is made up of granite and porphyry rock and adorned with four domes on its four corners. This building gives a breathtaking look when it is floodlit on Sunday evenings and public holidays.

This city is the IT hub which makes it among the most visited places of India. Some of the other well known attractions of this place are Bangalore Palace, Cubbon Park, Attara Kacheri, HAL Aerospace Museum, St. Mary’s Basilica and many more.
