42

Widely known as “faithful Blackberry”, Blackberry 8900 Curve has joined the blackberry series of attractive mobile phones. Started under the project name Javelin, Blackberry Curve 8900 is an upgrade to the blackberry 8300 model with some improved and impressive features. The look of the phone is very classy with fine finish and slim appearance which shines out to demand attention.

Created For Non Techie Consumers

Claiming to be highly user friendly, Blackberry Curve 8900 has an edge over the earlier models in terms of superior Wi-Fi capability, advanced camera  technology  and internet browsing functions. Targeted towards business users, this model has been able to do justice to its users, and perhaps has everything that business users would want to have in their phone. It is almost like holding a mini computer in your palms.

More Than Just A Phone

The GPS navigation  technology  and inbuilt blackberry map helps users find places, routes, and other destinations in motion with step by step direction. There has been a big boost in the memory space from 64 MB to 256 MB, and the microSD card slot can accept up to 16GB space. Easy control, modern appearance and improved features makes this phone stand out from all the earlier models.

Compact Mobile

It has an impressive 2.4 inch screen with 480*360 screen resolution. Weighing only 110 grams, you can expect all major business productivity features from this phone. It is easy to hold in your hands, and even easy to carry on your pockets with 109 mm length, 60 mm width and 13.5 mm thickness. It slips easily into the pocket without making its presence felt because of its light weight.

This model includes 3.2 megapixel camera along with auto focus, flash, high resolution and image stabilization facility. You can expect 356 hours standby time and 5 and half hours talk time with the Li-Ion 1400 mAh battery. The keyboard is soft and just about perfect. Fast browser speed and soft keywords makes texting and emailing a joy to do. The media player, headphones and voice quality matches the blackberry’s reputation, and has been able to maintain good standards.

Although an ideal successor over the earlier models with improved features, it does not support 3G  technology . There are users who are not very satisfied with the battery life as well. Although the battery life is decent, many users believe that an improved battery life would have added to the asset value of this phone, since this phone is centered towards business users.
